We all know by now that preparation is the key to sticking to a healthy diet & exercise plan.. and most of us realize preparing ahead can also save money, especially when it comes to food. Pack a lunch & healthy snacks, and you'll avoid paying high prices at restaurants and vending machines.
But how much can you really save???
A study done by a group of cost-cutting bloggers shows this example...
Let's say you grab a deli sandwich, side of chips & a drink = about $10. Make a similar meal at home (sandwich on whole wheat w/ greek yogurt, instead of mayo, side of carrots & an apple, glass of water) = $3. You've saved $7 in just one meal. If you save $7 for 240 workdays, you'll conserve a yearly total of $1,680. WOW! You can also cut calories by skipping creamy sauces and sugary temptations. It's a WIN WIN!
