This is a shot from a recent photo shoot I did for Crossfit. How do you like my cocky, confident face? ;-) No real smiles here. Crossfit is TOUGH!!
I have a secret... I'm 3 months pregnant in this picture ;-) I had to squeeze in my little belly, and thankfully you can't tell.
Have you ever wondered what it takes to put out an ad? I always did. It seemed to me like it was all fun, make-up amd glamour... hmmm... I was a little wrong. Modeling is SOOO fun and I'm blessed to call this my job (part-time ;-)), but there IS a lot of work that goes into each and every shot. For this shoot, I modeled 27 articles of clothing at it took 5 hours.
First, it's hair & makeup for an hour.... then on selecting the first outfit. Photographer checks lighting & stylists get to work pinning clothes to make them fit better. Then...pose, pose, pose... AND it's on to the back of the outfit. Stylists re-pin so garmets look good from the back, they steam any creases... and it's pose, pose, pose. Photographer shoots details (pocket, thumb hole, hood, etc). Crew looks at shots, whispers some stuff as I wonder if they're talking about me.. then I get the okay to change outfits.
Dressed in outift 2, the make-up artist re-applies lip gloss, powder, lotions, etc... Stylists steam, pin, make sure bra doesn't show thru, change bra, change pants, etc... you get it!! It really IS a job and a process. Once the shots are in... the work starts for editors, photographers, wed designers & the marketing team.
