Mommy Baby Workout

Several times a week I workout with my baby boy... sometime it's a 4-5 mile run, sometimes it running hills while pushing him in the jogging stroller (this is a near-death experience lol), or he will serve as my weight bar ;-) I do lunges, squats, hops & hamstring lifts with my very own cute 27 pounder.

Here's a Mommy Baby Workout to try out. Even if you don't have a baby... this is a great at-home workout!
1 mile run with stroller

Walking lunges w/ baby on shoulder - 100 around the block or down the street (50 on each leg)
50 pelvic lifts with baby sitting on you lower abs
Squat hops with baby on shoulder

Set baby down

30 seconds high knees
10-30 push-up (or chest press w/ baby)
*repeat this cycle 3 times

*Start back with lunges and go through the cycle 1-2 more times for a total of 2-3 sets.


He loves watching me and his daddy workout and tries to do the exercises we do. He knows how to do squats and tries to do high knees and crunches. Here, he is trying with all his stregth to lift these 20's ;-/.... He is certainly a determined little baby.
