CHOOSE THE RIGHT CARBS

CHOOSE THE RIGHT CARBS
There are two kinds of carbohydrates – "good" and "bad." Good carbs (whole grains, brown rice, oatmeal, some fruits - bananas, grapefruit, apples) have a minimal impact on your blood sugar levels - this is a good thing! When blood sugar levels fluctuate you end up feeling hungry, shaky, or even nauseous.
"Good" carbs are full of vitamins, minerals and fiber and they keep you fuller, longer. "Bad" carbs (sugar, white bread, pancakes, muffins, etc.) are made of sugar and white flour which might give you a little energy boost and feeling of fullness for an hour or so, but soon your body will use up the sugars and simple carbohydrates. This results in a crash - leaving you hungry. So, get more of the GOOD stuff and you'll not only feel better, but you'll look better in the long run!
