Peanut Butter

It's a childhood favorite, from ants on a log to Reese's buttercups and, of course, the classic PB and J sandwich. Who doesn't love peanut butter? Whether you like it on banana, apples, bread or by the spoon full... it's simply delicious; but did you know it's actually very good for you?

PEANUT BUTTER IS....

High in monosaturated fat which is the type of fat known to lower "bad" cholesterol and reduce heart disease.

High in fiber which helps regulate blood sugar levels and cholesterol.

High in vitamins and minerals: bone-buliding magnesium and calcium, iron, muscle-friendly potassium, antioxidant vitamin E & immunity boosting B6.

High in protein (8g per serving) which will keep you fuller, longer and prevent overeating.

So, cheers to the creamy, nutty butter packed full of health!!

For unique ways to incorporate this versatile ingredient, check out the recipe pages on my "secret fit ingredients" blog. Some may sound odd, but remember PB is great on pretty much everything.... Elvis liked it best with banana, honey, bacon and bread - what a combo.
